Obituary of James D'Amico

James D’Amico (Ret. Capt. NPFD), 75, passed away unexpectedly at home on August 24, 2021.
Son of the late Vincent and Claire (Leone) D’Amico. Husband of the late Susan Jane (Cull) D’Amico. Father of James D’Amico (Lt. NPFD), Karen D’Amico and her fiancé, Kyle Pariseau. Brother of Theresa “Terry” Cardin, Concetta “Connie” D’Amico, Claire A. D’Amico Taraborelli, Donna J. D’Amico, Lu-Ann D’Amico, Lawrence “Larry” D’Amico, Paul M. D’Amico and the late Donald A. D’Amico and Gerald “Jerry” D’Amico. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.

Jimmy retired as a Captain of the NPFD in 1996 and served in the National Guard. Past President and 3rd degree Member of the Bouffard Council Knights of Columbus. He was also the past President and member of the North Providence Firefighters Local 2334. Jimmy was also an avid Red Sox fan.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday August 28, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 1081 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center, hopehealthco.org/donatenow
