In Memory Of Gerard P. Laboissonniere (Volunteer)

ELABOISSONNIERE, GERARD P., 76, of Cresant Dr., died April 19th at his home. He was the husband of Mary M. (Carroll) Laboissonniere.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Ponteleon and Alice (Page) Laboissonniere. He was a lifetime resident of North Providence. Mr. Laboissonniere was an installer for ATT for 30 years before retiring.

He was a life member and past vice-president of the Centredale Volunteer Fire Department, president of the North Providence Babe Ruth League and was named Babe Ruth Man of the Year for District 1. He was involved with the St. Augustine Church CYO, and was a Navy veteran of WW2.

Besides his wife he leaves four sons, Gerard Laboissonniere of Cumberland, David and Mark Laboissonniere of Smithfield, John Laboissonniere of Pawtucket, and a daughter, Maryann Corsini of North Providence, and 8 grandchildren.

His funeral will be held Friday at 10 AM from the ROBBINS FUNERAL HOME, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence with a mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. Augustine Church, Mount Pleasant Ave. Calling Hours Thursday 4-8 PM.
