In Memory Of George W. Cyr, former Centredale volunteer FF

EAST PROVIDENCE – George W. Cyr, 88, of Cole St., died Monday, Sept. 9, 2013 at the Evergreen House. He was the husband of Elizabeth "Dolly" (Sollitto) Cyr.

Born June 15, 1925, on Block Island, he was a son of the late William and Josephine (Letourneau) Cyr.

In addition to his wife of 37 years, he leaves his sister Rita Gilleran of Lincoln and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Raymond and a sister, Albea.

His funeral will begin Friday at 8am from the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9am in Our Lady of Loreto Church, Waterman Ave., East Providence. Burial will follow at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Calling hours will be Thursday 5-8pm.
