Anthony "Tony" Lisi Obituary Anthony T. "Tony" Lisi, 92, passed away February 27, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Rose (Pontarelli) Lisi for 68 years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Antonio and Theresa (Imondi) Lisi. 

Tony was the brother of Corrine Quinn and the late Harry and Robert Lisi, Madeline DeDonato and Theresa Beattie. He was also the uncle of several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews. 

Mr. Lisi was a veteran of WWII, having served in Europe. He received the Bronze Star, The European Medal with four battle stars, The Combat Infantry Badge, and a special citation from General Hayes of the 10th Mountain Division for outstanding service. He was the owner and operator the L&I Oil Service before retiring. He was the past president of the RI Oil Dealers Assoc., past president of the Oil Heat Institute, Director of the New England Fuel Institute, past president of the Sons of Italy Vittoria Lodge, past president of the former Marieville Business Assoc., a volunteer fireman for the Marieville Fire Dept. from 1950 to 1968, and a member of the Knights of Columbus Bouffard Council. 

Visitation and funeral will be held Tuesday 9:00-10:30 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11a.m. in the Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 1081 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence. Burial with military honors will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
